Type of Work: Vet Surgeon (Small Animal Bias)

Job Details: Our client in County Cork has an opportunity for a veterinary surgeon to join their friendly team of 11 vets, 4 nurses and lay staff. This Independent Mixed Practice with a fantastic and experienced team of certificate holding vets are seeking to add a new vet to their team, situated in the beautiful corner of North Cork.

The ideal candidate would have a strong interest in small animal practice, but be happy to do some large animal work and contribute to their mixed out of hours rota. If working with large animals would be new to you, they are happy to provide support and training with this to get you confident.

  • There is a weekend rota of 1 in 6
  • Immediate start

Although experience would be preferred, enthusiasm is more important, as they have a strong track record of supporting and mentoring new graduates. Support and back up is always available, with a designated vet assigned as back up support for the first on call vet out of hours.

Their two, hospital standard small animal sites are equipped with all of the usual toys (ultrasound, blood pressure, in house bloods, multiparameter monitoring, etc.), but they are most excited by our new imaging suite with DR X-ray.
