Job Details: This is a very rewarding opportunity in a 5 vet family practice who will help you achieve your goals - plenty of support is available. This mixed practice (60% large 40% small) is excellently equipped with their small animal practice given VCI accredited hospital status. They offer this role within true mixed practice with 2 branches located within 30 minutes of each other. The practice hours are Mon-Fri 9am-6pm and Saturday 9am-5pm on a 1 in 4 OOH rota. 

They have small animal clinics and surgeries at both hospitals from Monday to Saturday by appointments and out of hours for emergency all year round. They offer a wide range of services ranging from microchipping, neutering, vaccines, and worming to digital x-ray(s) on-site, hip and elbow scores for the British Veterinary Association, pet passports are also supplied by them along with rabies and health certificates for travel. They carry out orthopaedics for fracture repairs and knee surgeries, and also carry out soft tissue surgeries. The team can offer investigation blood work on site and allergy tests and can also check for glaucoma or uveitis, and carry out ECG’s and blood pressure measurements. They also have ultrasound which is commonly used for pregnancy diagnosis.

They have trained and qualified reception and nursing staff and on-site qualified grooming staff on both premises. 

The team's large animal vets cover a wide area of Co. Cavan and Monaghan, offering services beyond routine testing. They provide reproductive scanning with the aim to treating any infertility issues at the time, and also carry out bull breeding soundness exams. They are a horse friendly practice and welcome the routine vaccines and worming advise to digital x-ray(s), reproductive work and pre purchase examinations, keeping up to date with all current regulations. They also have a poultry service with its own separate diagnostic laboratory, carrying out investigation, diagnostics and treatments for poultry on a small or large scale.
