  • £550 CPD Allowance per annum plus 3 days CPD Leave

Type of Work: Night Registered Veterinary Nurse

Job Details: Are you a dedicated, supportive RVN? This practice are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Night Veterinary Nurse to join their team. Working through the night, you will provide gold-standard care to in-patients, take phone calls, offer advice and communicate with vets who are off site, but on call. Emergency surgery as necessary. Current rota is 7 nights on, 7 nights off however they are open to discuss other flexible options to suit you. 

This veterinary practice are based in the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside, making it an ideal place to live and work, close to all amenities and only a short distance from London by train. 

Unlike most veterinary practices, they have a nurse awake caring for patients every night, as well as having a vet on call. The dedicated night nurses ensure that patients receive the same high standard of care at night as they do during the day, every day of the year. They are a well equipped practice with a wide range of equipment available to you at all times including:
•    Philips iu22 Abdominal Ultrasound
•    Philips ie33 Cardiac Ultrasound
•    Ligasure
•    Range of digital endoscopy
•    Multiparameter monitoring including capnography & blood pressure at all stations
•    Full range of Idexx lab equipment 
•    Incubator

You will be joining a team of 13 full time equivalent vets, 13 nurses and two dedicated night nurses. 

Skills and Requirements: The ideal person will be compassionate, a good communicator, efficient, diligent and hard-working. You will possess leadership qualities, be capable and organised and be able to work sole charge.
