Job Details: Our client are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their RCVS accredited independent small animal hospital which strives to provide the highest standards of first opinion care for their patients and clients.

They have a very friendly and inclusive team right across the practice with vets, nurses, and reception staff all supporting each other - they are looking for the right people to maintain and enhance this!

 

Our clients vets enjoy a four day week plus two days off in lieu for working a weekend (Saturday and Sunday 8am – 5pm).  The rota is currently 1:8. They use a dedicated out of hours provider for on call, but inpatients are cared for by the RVN team and the hospital is staffed 24/7. The vets share responsibility for the inpatients (1:8 nights).

They have nine vets with Advanced Practitioners in Anaesthesia, ECC and Medicine and are fully supported by an experienced and dedicated front of house team. They also have visiting Specialist vets in Orthopaedics, Soft Tissue Surgery, Cardiology and Diagnostic imaging. This allows them to provide a fantastic standard of care to all of their patients and the opportunity to care for interesting and challenging cases.

Their fantastic nursing team of 9 RVNs and 3 SVNs is led by a DipAVN and includes ECC certificate holders. They are integral to the practice. They have a very friendly and inclusive team right across the practice with vets, nurses and reception staff all supporting each other - they are looking for the right person to maintain and enhance this.

Skills and Requirements: Our client are looking for someone with at least one years experience however they are open to speaking with confident new graduate vets. They would like to add up to four veterinary surgeons to their growing practice team - ideally with a minimum of one year's experience although would consider less.  The right candidates will truly care for patients, be good team players and be enthusiastic, proactive and motivated to provide a high quality first opinion service to patients and clients. Our Client provide consistent support and the opportunity to improve and grow as a vet. Post-graduate qualifications are encouraged.
