Job Details: Would you like to work in a lovely, 100% Small Animal Independent Practice based over two sites just minutes from J11 of the M5 for super easy access. A truly excellent place to develop and grow in a practice nurturing ability.

The practice is based in a lovely town with an excellent range of shops and restaurants with the beautiful Gloucestershire Cotswolds on the doorstep. It is an easy journey to neighbouring towns and cities of Bristol, Bath, Birmingham, Cardiff, and Swindon. 

For those who require accommodation, either temporarily or permanently, our client have two possible accommodation choices, one a very neat and tidy flat and the other, a very good condition two bedroom property away from the practice. 

This practice is somewhere you can take your time with clients, with 15 minutes or 30 minute appointments (longer for recent graduates). Our Client try to balance a rewarding job where they work cases up with not feeling rushed or pressured. They have a highly insured client base which helps deliver quality treatments based on what is best for the animal. The team meet informally each day for mutual support and case discussions which means you never feel isolated or abandoned. There is a 1:4 Saturday Mornings but no other weekends or evening work.

Develop your skills with regular teaching sessions from an experienced dual certified colleague (Radiology & Surgery). One of the directors is Ex Veterinary School Staff and enjoys teaching all aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery and anyone wanting to develop surgically can expect instruction and support from basic to more complex surgical procedures. 

Our client carry a full selection of high end orthopaedic kit and perform most procedures in house. They also have an excellent imaging set up with a superb Esaote Ultrasound and DR X-rays. They regularly arrange full-day CPD courses that they can attend together to maximise the benefit. Recently they had a full day of Ultrasound from an RCVS Specialist with the whole veterinary team attending and the next team CPD will be on laparoscopic surgery. They also have a visiting RCVS Specialist Ophthalmologist.

Want to improve your surgery? This position could suit a colleague with a keen surgical interest, as teaching in basic to advanced soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures can be provided.
