Job Details: Our client is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly team in Hampshire. They are a friendly and approachable first opinion, small animal practice in a beautiful market town on the edge of the New Forest in Southern Hampshire. They are an RCVS inspected and approved practice and recognised by ISFM as a cat friendly clinic who operate from a purpose designed converted barn. The team consists of 5 experienced Veterinary Surgeons who are supported by a long serving team of 5 experienced Registered Veterinary Nurses, Receptionists, Practice Manager, Administration, and maintenance. They offer the usual X-ray and ultrasound facilities including dental X-rays and dental suite, they perform in house MMP operations and they have separate cat and dog wards. The aim is to provide their clients with the best service and care.

When possible, they like to take part in local charity events and support and encourage visits to the practice for young people of various organisations including schools. The aim of their arranged practice visits is to raise awareness of the importance of pet health care and promote the veterinary profession.

This is a full time role working 40 hours per week with 1 in 4 Saturday mornings. The rotas are split to enable consulting and operating times to be equally shared within the team. The daily aim is to have 2 consulting Veterinary Surgeons and 1.5 operating Veterinary Surgeons in the mornings and 2 Veterinary Surgeons for early afternoon consultations and 2 Veterinary Surgeons for evening consultations. Saturday mornings consist of 1 Veterinary Surgeon, 1 Veterinary Nurse and a receptionist from 8.30am to 1.00pm.
