Type of Work: Small Animal Vet Surgeon

Job Details: Our client is looking fo a small animal vet surgeon to join their team. They can consider full/part time applications, Caseloads can vary and there is scope for you to develop your caseloads and have days allocated to your specific area of interest e.g.  surgery, ultrasound, dentistry to name a few.

A typical day on consults would include a range of 2-hour blocks for routines, non-routines, and emergencies.   Each vet also has 'operation days'.  These 'Operation days' allow the vets to work more in their areas of interest: surgery, ultrasound, dentistry and finishes with an evening surgery.

They already have an established, experienced team of 6 vets, ranging from 4-14years, with special areas of interest in surgery, ophthalmology, ultrasound, dentistry, and medicine.  They have a visiting cardiologist, experienced veterinary surgeons and an inhouse internal medicine head vet. They believe in treating their nurses as the registered professionals that they are and their 8 RVNs offer great support to their team.

Rota

  • Working 36 hours per week
  • Between Monday-Friday (8:30am-6:30pm)
  • OOH is one night per week (or less)
  • 1:4 weekend (or less)
  • Weekends on call include a Saturday morning consults (9:00am-1:00pm)
