Job Details: Our client is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. You will have previous experience, be capable and confident as a GP Veterinary Surgeon to supplement their fantastic team of hospital clinicians. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a busy and diverse environment.

The vets work a 40-hour week across 4 days, inclusive of 1:4 weekends and they provide second on call cover for occasional nights. They are supported by a large team of qualified and student nurses, as well as Clinical Support Services personnel.

If you want to work in a dynamic environment in which no two days are the same, this could be the ideal place for you. The vets thrive on the diverse caseload and welcome the fact that they refer very few cases. They particularly value the support colleagues provide, but also prefer to manage their own cases, in the way they see fit. They look forward to welcoming a new, like-minded vet to the team.

With their separate cat, dog and exotics wards, each encompassing their own operating theatres, as well as dedicated dental suites, ultrasound facilities, endoscopy and of course x-ray. They also have an extensive lab, staffed by bio-medical professionals experienced in supporting the vet team. You may not have been expecting that!


They have 28+ Surgeons, 28+ Nurses, 50+ Support & Admin Staff. Various certificate holders and an exotic specialist. You will work alongside a number of Certificate holders and they will have plenty of opportunity to develop skills and knowledge – both formally through CPD and informally through case collaboration.

They hope that you will have a medical bias but not be afraid of surgery, and you will be particularly interested in diagnostic imaging and medical work-ups. Important required skills with include, having the ability to remain calm in the face of emergencies and articulate in the face of complex cases. Along with the ability to work in harmony with a large team. They require their new Veterinary Surgeon to be passionate about their work, work to their highest possible standard. They expect you to have a positive can-do attitude and be an avid team player. They require you to have excellent bedside manner and communication skills, as well as, the ability to work in a fast pace multi-site practice.
