Type of Work: Small Animal Vet Surgeon

Job Details: Our client is looking for a Senior Veterinary Surgeon to join their supportive and friendly team. The ideal candidate is an experienced vet who is confident in all soft tissue surgeries and basic orthopaedics and is happy to mentor and guide less experienced team members. You will work closely with the Practice Principal and contribute to the practice's management, organisation, and financial performance. The clinic is a busy practice with 15-minute appointments. This is a great opportunity for vets who have a surgical bias as they look after a varied and complex caseload.
Typically, this position is 5 days per week with 1:3 Saturday mornings and no OOH. However, they understand that one size doesn’t necessarily fit all, and so they may be able to offer a degree of flexibility around this standard pattern and they would like to hear from both full/part-time applicants!
This practice pride themselves on offering high-quality vet care at prices affordable to all. They take pleasure in being able to offer a full range of first opinion veterinary services at affordable prices. The practice is in a superb location, just a 5-minute walk from the local London train station, and they are equipped with large and airy consult rooms, dedicated x-ray and ultrasound room; modern theatre and prep area; in house lab; dental machine and separate cattery and kennels.
The friendly team consists of 3 vets, 2 registered veterinary nurses, 2 animal nursing assistants, 3 receptionists and a highly experienced Practice Principal, who regularly provides rewards to their team with Costa Fridays and their monthly practice star award celebrates their employee’s achievements. They strongly encourage the learning and development of their staff and CPDs/regular case discussions are supported.
