Job Details:  Our Client in North West London is searching for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their well-established independent practice.

Their supportive team offer high standards of veterinary services to their loyal and friendly clients. They are situated on the edge of Golders Green and close to Hampstead Heath and West Hampstead and Cricklewood.

The practice have a general set up with Digital CR Dental radiography, separate dental suite, full in-house lab equipment (IDEXX), Ultrasound, Endoscopy and Bronchoscopy, Multi-parameter monitoring, Tonometry, Theatre Suite, Four Consulting rooms (two for cats and two for dogs), Separate cat and dog entrances/reception/consulting rooms and wards, RxWorks practice management system, and separate quiet room for end-of-life discussions and care.

 As an independent practice, they have the flexibility to provide an individual and customised approach to each client and pet. Longer consulting times and call back times to enable client education and expectation, communicating clinical thoroughness and implementing current, scientific based methods through a holistic approach are essential to their clients and they have a high proportion of insured clients and provide direct claims.

The practice is open from 8am-7pm Monday to Friday and 9am - 6pm on Saturdays and is closed on Sundays. Consult times are 20 and 30 minutes with client communication time slots provided to ensure client discussion, lab results, and ongoing care compliance with owners. There is scheduled time for surgery and procedures. 

They are supported by visiting specialists in both cardiology and imaging as well as more complex soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. 

This is a full-time position working 4 days per week with 1:3 Saturdays with a day off in lieu with no Out of Hours. Morning and afternoon 30 min ward rounds with 1 hour lunch break. 

Skills & Requirements: Our Client would ideally like someone with 5 years experience for the Lead Vet role however they are open to speaking with Vets with anything from 1 years experience. They would like someone with an interest in dentistry. The ideal person will be confident in routine surgery, medicine, and emergency work and be confident and able to support colleagues and lead the clinical team (for the lead vet role).
