This is a part-time position, and they are happy to offer flexible shifts, ideally, this will be 2-4 days per week depending on your availability and hours can be mornings, afternoons, or within school hours if that suits you! There are no requirements for out-of-hours or weekend work.
All emergency and hospitalised patients are cared for at their 24-hour hospital. They have all the usual equipment including ultrasound, digital radiography including dental, video endoscopy, hydrotherapy, 4 theatres, and separate animal wards for cats, dogs, small animals, and exotics.
They have 25 Veterinary Surgeons who work across a range of disciplines including equine, farm, small and OV work. They have 24 registered Veterinary Nurses and 9 Nursing Assistants. They are a nurse training practice. They have certificate holders in several subjects including Internal Medicine, Surgery, Behaviour, Exotics, Cardiology, and Ophthalmology. They work hard to create a supportive environment for all staff and the team regularly organise social events including fundraising, summer and Christmas parties, and other gatherings when Covid allows.
They would like an experienced Consulting Veterinary Surgeon to join them to work within their branch consulting team. They can organise the rota to include time at the main hospital if desired. The candidate should be comfortable carrying out first opinion small animal work. Cases requiring complicated workup or hospitalisation would be referred to their main hospital. The branch role can encompass both consulting and surgical roles for the right candidate.
