Type of Work: Small Animal Vet Surgeon

Job Details: Our client is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon (small animal) to join their friendly night team. Currently their OOH service is shared between their team. Creating a good work life balance is incredibly important and they decided they could provide a better service by having a dedicated OOH team.

One of their current day vets has started the ball rolling and they are looking to recruit two further vets to allow a 1 week on and 2 week off rota. This could be a perfect opportunity to join their wonderful team at this exciting time.

This Veterinary Hospital has the reputation of being a friendly and competent practice for over a hundred years and are firmly rooted in the local area. The well-equipped, purpose-built Tier 3 Hospital is based in the leafy outskirts of a Cathedral City and supported by 3 nearby branches. They provide OOH for their own clients and several local practices.

They are kitted out with everything you need to provide fantastic ECC care.

Digital x-ray, high end doppler ultrasound, rigid and flexible endoscopes including laparoscopy equipment, orthopaedic equipment and a comprehensive in-house laboratory.  They are a 14 Vet cohesive team including Analgesia/Anaesthesia and ECC certificate holders with other vets working towards surgical and imaging certificates. Crucially they are supported by a fantastic nursing team who always push them to provide the best for their patients.
They are a social bunch and recent staff outings have included bowling, water obstacle courses and several dining excursions!

This position would suit an existing small animal, night Veterinary Surgeon with OOH experience but may be suitable for a Veterinary Surgeon with day experience looking to move into a night position.
Crucially you would be a team player who is keen to provide a fantastic service to their clients and their pets. Good communication with clients and colleagues is essential to deliver the high level of care they pride themselves on.
