Type of Work: Small Animal Vet Surgeon

Job Details: Our client is looking for a veterinary surgeon to join their friendly and supportive team. Ideally this would be on a full time basis, however they are extremely flexible with working hours and can accommodate applicants looking for part time hours, including working mums & dads to fit around the school run etc, with a fully negotiable rota.

Full time hours are worked across 4.5 days per week with shifts between 8:30am and 6:30pm plus weekends and night out of hours on rotation of 1:7 weeknights and 14: weekends, which consists of Saturday morning in practice 8:30am – 12:30pm, plus on Saturday afternoon/night on call with Sunday off or a full weekend on call depending on the rota.

This position is open to vet surgeons of all experiences and you will be joining a well established and experienced team including several certificate holders. There is an opportunity to focus on any special interests as good CPD is offered and several vets have progressed through certificates with us. They enjoy supporting and bringing on new graduates but would equally welcome someone more established.

They are a well-established small animal veterinary practice in North Wales, offering a high standard of first opinion care. They have a great team and a fantastic, loyal client base. They often see returning clients throughout the years, meaning they get to care for their patients from puppies/kittens to seniors. They are proud to do their own OOH and care for their own inpatients overnight though it is not especially busy. This role would be great for a Surgeon with a strong GP interest, looking for a long-term role in an easy-going practice.

Investing in their practice, patient care and team is important to us. They would therefore be really keen to support your expertise or learning goals and incorporate them into the services the practice provides. The practice benefits from in-house blood and lab facilities for routine work, ultrasound, x-ray / dental x-ray and endoscopy facilities. They also have an associated ophthalmology referral department.

They are situated in the beautiful area of Snowdonia, North Wales. They are well located for those who enjoy the more rural side of life, with plenty of countryside and hill walk areas, beaches and lakes for wild swimming.

They are looking for a highly motivated Veterinary Surgeon who can thrive and enjoy working in their practice. You will be confident and professional with the ability to work seamlessly alongside their practice teams to provide a quality experience for their clients and pets alike. You will need to be RCVS registered, have strong communication skills, have the ability to work well in a team, be comfortable to work sole charge (only at weekends and out of hours with backup ALWAYS available) and have a passion to deliver great clinical care and fantastic client service.
