Type of Work: Small Animal Vet Surgeon

Job Details: Our client is looking for a veterinary surgeon to join their team. This role is ideal for a vet who loves to work up their own cases and provide first-class client care. The ideal candidate will enjoy being part of a large team of vets and nurses who all have individual skills and talents. They put the well-being of their staff first and are happy to consider both full/part-time working patterns. This would include a 1:3 share in the Saturday rota.

The practice has excellent road, rail and air links, with can enable you to travel easily and extensively during your time off. However, you may not even want to leave the area as they can offer city shopping, theatres and clubs as well as countryside walks on the Malvern & Clent Hills - they really do have a 'foot in each camp'!

They are lucky to have fantastic facilities in their spacious practice, with 7 consult rooms (to include cat only and PTS rooms) a large airy waiting room, theatres (including a separate dental theatre), and separate dog & cat kennels. They also have a vet’s office and a staff room with comfy sofas that you will get to sit on during your lunch break!

The brilliant team is made up of 12 vets and 22 nurses (across the group) with between 4 and 6 vets working out of the main surgery per day. Vets are supported by a high ratio of registered veterinary nurses, and they are proud to be a training practice - helping the next generation of nurses fulfil their career potential. They have both medicine and surgical certificate holders as well as vets with interests in imaging and ophthalmology, so there is lots of in-house knowledge to tap into. The ethos is customer-focused, and they try to make every 'touch point' the client has with the practice a favourable and pleasant one.

The perfect candidate is a vet who enjoys building client relationships and wants to work up their cases, with the support of their team if needed. The nurses have requested a tidy vet - but they can be flexible on this!
