Job Details: Located in beautiful Nova Scotia, this is the longest standing holistic veterinary medicine service in the Halifax Regional Municipality. Nicknamed as the “City of Lakes” due to the 23 lakes that can be found within its borders, this team is proud to play an important role in the lives of its pet-passionate residents. Their friendly and welcoming people, combined with the picturesque natural landscapes around, provide them with plenty of inspiration and recreational opportunities.

This hospital has been an established part of the community for over 20 years with a focus on Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) including Acupuncture and Chinese herbals, and Canine Rehabilitation. In addition to the aforementioned areas of focus, they offer a wide array of services such as Chiropractic care, Bowen therapy, hydrotherapy, underwater treadmill therapy, massage therapy, low-level laser therapy, neuromuscular stimulation, in depth nutritional consultations (whole food for cats and dogs), and so much more! They can provide guidance on unique approaches to typical pet health care issues.

They are currently looking for a veterinarian with training in Acupuncture and herbal medicine, and a strong commitment to whole food nutrition. The Hospital operates as a referral practice to provide high-quality, unique services to enhance and go beyond conventional veterinary care.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Licensed (or eligibility) to practice veterinary medicine in Nova Scotia
  • Passion for what you do every day
  • Keen interest and/or experience in orthopaedic surgery
  • Enthusiasm, energy and a positive attitude are a must
  • A strong desire to educate and build solid relationships with clients
  • Excellent communication skills, both when dealing with clients and team members
