Type of Work: Locum Veterinary Surgeon

From start of April to May + Ongoing potential!

Job Details: Our client is looking for 2-3 enthusiastic and dedicated Locums to join their flexible family friendly team. They are very open to discussing the hours that suit you. One thing is certain though, they close at 5.30pm and ensure that the team does finish on time.

The on-call rota is shared equally between vets for weekend and weeknight duties, all hours will be considered upon application and they're currently working on minimalizing the on call duties.
Ensuring you have a work life balance to explore and make the most of this beautiful island is important to our client. They are happy to accommodate specific interests so you can make this role your very own with options to perform more surgery or more consultations, other vets prefer to be out on the road more doing home visits.

This is a flexible family friendly practice on the beautiful island of the Isle of Wight. Not only will you get the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment which includes a CT scanner, laparoscopic surgery, video endoscopy, new ultrasound and that is without mentioning the fact they are building a brand-new surgery. Also, a fantastic team within a people centric environment, they share, they help, and they encourage your development.
While you aren’t at work you soon come to realise you are living somewhere quite special and unique. You may only be 3 miles off the south coast, an hour from the mainland with 80 ferry crossings per day, but right on your doorstep you have the coastal scenery, sailing, surfing, paddle boarding, golf, horse riding and some beautiful pubs - which the team sample together on their regular team socials. Some of the best walking and cycling routes the UK has to offer are right on the island. Quality of life and work life balance are second to none. Who would of thought you are only 2 hours from London via train.
Team, team, team - this is something they love to talk about!  This ethos is integral to be the best and give the best to their clients and patients. It enables them to be flexible, to support you and your family commitments and it also opens the door for the future prospects of taking on a director’s role within the practice.
Our client invest in you, equipment, clients and patients and always believe in open communication and honesty. Doing the right thing is fundamentally important to them. They always push the boundaries and ensure they are thinking about new ideas to challenge the current status quo in the veterinary industry. They strive to be leaders and not followers and take pride in being different from the rest so they can continue to provide the very best of care for their patients.
