Job Details:  An exciting opportunity has become for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our clients team in Bristol!

Your day-to-day duties will include nursing of patients, preparing patients for ops, monitoring anaesthesia, assisting with x-rays, endoscopy, ultrasound and dentals.

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week over 5 days with varying shifts, but you will have your rota a week in advance. You will be required to work 1:4 Saturdays, but there is no Sunday work required as Vets Now cover emergency and OOHs care.

This is a well-established and well-respected practice with two branches in South East Bristol. They have ICFM awards for both branches, and frequently get nominated for, and sometimes win, the Petplan best staff member or practice! They have all the usual equipment such as endoscope, ultrasound, dental machine and x-ray, and cosy separate cattery and kennels for day patients. The main surgery is on a bus route from the centre of Bristol and are a 15 minute walk from the train station.

The current team consists of 6 Vets, 5 RVNs, a dedicated reception team, and a finance administrator, all working with support from the practice manager and clinical director. They have been a nursing training practice for over ten years, and many of the nurses that they train stay with them for a long time. They are a relaxed yet hard-working and supportive team, with high standards of care expected for each other, clients, and patients.

Skills and Experience: The ideal person will have had some experience working in a small animal practice. We actively encourage CPD, and funding can be applied for suitable courses.
