Job Details: Our client in Liverpool are looking for a rotational vet nurse to join their team. This role would suit a newly qualified RVN wishing to gain experience in a hospital environment or an experienced RVN with an equal interest in medicine and surgery. As a rotational nurse, your shifts will vary throughout all areas of the hospital, working alongside the medical and surgical nursing teams.

  • Full-time position
  • 40 hours per week - Early shift: 7am - 5pm, middle 9am - 7pm, late 11.30am - 9.30pm
  • 4 days per week with a set day off for continuity and consistency
  • 1 in 8 full weekends (This is worked into your weekly hours, meaning you work an average of 38 hours per week)

As a rotational nurse your shifts will be varied assisting in all areas of the hospital – In patient care, anaesthesia, nurse consults. If working as a rotational nurse highlights a specific area of interest, such as inpatient care. When a role becomes available on the medical nursing team, you can then apply for that dedicated role.

You will liaise with the Head Veterinary Nurses and the Veterinary Surgeons to ensure best and effective running of the practice. Maintain cleaning regimes within the hospital to ensure high standards are maintained throughout. Ensure that patient records and documentation are maintained accurately. They value their nurses clinical professional development and you will have regular one-to-one reviews on their learning platform.

Certificates/CPD are encouraged and supported.
