Salary: Up to £27,500 FTE, Depending on Experience

Type of Work: Registered Veterinary Nurse
Job Details: Our Client have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team on a part time basis.
Day to day duties will include:
- Performing nurse consults at either the hospital or branch surgeries
- Assisting Vets with consults
- Helping to develop the range of nurse led clinics available to clients
This is a part-time position, and our client are happy to offer flexible shifts. Ideally this will be 2-4 days per week, depending on your availability. The working hours can be mornings, afternoons, or within school hours if that's what suits you. There are no requirements for out-of-hours or weekend work.
The purpose-built main hospital is based around 156 minutes north of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in a beautiful market town. They have lovely facilities with a huge waiting room, six consult rooms, laboratory along with wards to cater for cats, dogs, small mammals, and exotics. There are also four large operating theatres with separate radiography, dental and ultrasound suites and they also have an onsite hydrotherapy unit. The Equine & Farm departments are based out of the main hospital also making it a busy and sociable workplace. They are supported by a large and dedicated team of nurses, nursing assistants, receptionists, and a hydro therapist. Our client have 7 branches based across Northumberland. This hospital is around 10 minutes from amazing beaches, hills, castles, shopping, and nightlife - all of which add to the social lives of the team and help achieve that all important work/life balance. Our Client aim to provide a supportive and progressive working environment to allow the right candidate to excel.
Our Client have 25 Vets, and 22 Nurses working to complete a varied caseload. They have certificate holders in exotics, surgery, medicine, cardiology, and behaviour to support and encourage development in the team. They have their own social group who organise events for fun and charity throughout the year. The team are very close and the working day is filled with plenty of laughs and pizza!
Skills and Requirements: The ideal person will be a Registered Veterinary Nurse (essential) and will need to enjoy working as part of a team and be happy to work independently at branch surgeries. Previous experience in a consulting-based role would be preferable, but not essential, as training can be provided for the right person.
