Type of Work: Registered Veterinary Nurse
Our client are looking for a registered veterinary nurse to join their skilled team. Ideally, you will have experience in all areas of general nursing such as anaesthesia monitoring, handling/restraining patients, taking blood samples, administering medication, IV catheter care, placing IV catheters and carrying out nurse consultations. However, they will happily consider recent graduates as their fantastic team will be able to provide ample support. Shifts will total 40 hours per week, where you will cover all aspects of nursing including inpatient care, anaesthesia, theatre nursing, nurse clinics, radiography, lab work and reception. You will also take part in the weekend rota. Emergency out-of-hours care is provided but you will be required to join the overnight inpatient care rota (additional remuneration paid)
They have been offering first opinion services to the pets of Worcestershire for over 60 years and are proud of their hospital status and their high standards of care. They are an approved centre for vet nurse training and hold an ISFM cat-friendly clinic (gold award) and an RWAF clinic (silver award). They have all the usual up-to-date equipment: digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy and Idexx analysers and are visited weekly by a diagnostic imaging specialist. They have a motivated 12-nurse team, 8 being qualified, registered veterinary nurses. They want their nurses to feel valued and give them the freedom to make decisions and share ideas, bringing their nursing knowledge and experience to the team. They encourage individuals to find and develop their areas of interest. There are many opportunities in which to become involved! They have an experienced team of dedicated and caring Vets, an enthusiastic practice manager and wonderful administrative staff who provide excellent support.
You must be a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a strong work ethic and sense of humour. Above all, you must be reliable and a true team player. A love of baking is advantageous but not essential.
