Type of Work: Head Veterinary Nurse
Job Details: Our client in Sussex has a fantastic opportunity available for a Head Veterinary Nurse to join their highly motivated team at their well-established practice. They are looking for an experienced nurse who can positively motivate and provide gold standard care to patients and clients, providing excellent client service through clear and effective communication with a compassionate approach, whilst always prioritising patient care.
You will be required to undertake general nursing duties including inpatient care, anaesthesia and nurse clinics as well as providing support and leadership to the nursing team. There will be additional tasks including clinical coaching, rotas, H&S, organisation of twice yearly stocktake and ensuring that all nursing protocols are maintained and complied with.

- 1 in 6 weekends (Saturday and Sunday)

Our client provides out-of-hour emergency care to several practices in the area. Recently refurbished, the clinic is equipped with the full range of diagnostic laboratory equipment, digital x-ray, Doppler ultrasound, endoscopy, and excellent facilities.
The practice is located in an area steeped in history, with beautiful countryside, stunning coastlines, and an abundance of choice within the art, sports, and leisure scenes, with something to suit everyone. They also have the convenience of great links to Brighton, London, and Gatwick airport.
Skills and Requirements:
- The ideal candidate will ideally have experience working in similar environment with some supervisory experience and preferably clinical coaching.
- The role is also suitable for experienced Registered Veterinary Nurses looking to develop their career to the next level.
- You will be able to lead by example by providing excellent client service whilst demonstrating exceptional nursing care to our patients.
- This role requires excellent communication skills, a positive can-do attitude, a passion for leadership, the ability to work well within a team and a strong work ethic.
