Type of Work: Small Animal Senior Vet Surgeon

Job Details: Do you want to work within a modern, forward-thinking, dynamic, and evolving small animal hospital? With friendly, supportive, and motivated colleagues? Then this may be the practice for you!

The hospital is well-established in the area, with a market town nearby where you can hop onto a direct train to London (1.5 hours) or direct to the vibrant, historic city of Norwich (20 mins). Living and working in the Norfolk fens gives you easy access to stunning country walks, long bike rides, and with the coast only 1 hour away, relaxing days by the sea.

With the ongoing growth of the hospital, there will be a great opportunity for new strategies and protocols to be implemented throughout - our client welcome new ideas!

Our Clients team are dedicated to providing the best possible care to its patients, with all up-to-date equipment you would expect in a modern hospital, and established clinical protocols. Our Client encourage career development and strongly support employee welfare.

This is a full time role working 39 hours per week but our client can be flexible. Appointments are 20 minutes.

Our Client feel it's important to give great customer service to clients and their pets, so carry out their own OOH service. The current rota currently includes 1:4 Saturday mornings, one night on call every 2 weeks, and one OOHs weekend in 6. Our Client are also recruiting a 2nd OOH Vet, so the OOH rota will reduce to holiday cover as needed once that role is filled.

When you are on call, all shifts are worked with one of the dedicated Night RVNs, so there is no need for you to stay in the practice - These nurses are trained to triage all cases so that you only come in when needed.

Skills & Requirements: Our Client require a good team player, with high levels of GP competence and customer service standards, and good routine small animal surgical, emergency, and medical skills.
