Job Details: Are you a Veterinary Surgeon looking for an exciting, flexible new role? If so, The Vet Service may have the perfect opportunity for you!  

Full time or part time applicants will be considered and the rota can be planned depending on what would work best for you, taking into consideration any out of work commitments, childcare needs, caring responsibilities etc - if shorter days with later starts or earlier finishes than the average day in practice would be preferable this is an option, or if you would prefer to work longer days & have more full days off that could also be accommodated. They would also consider someone who is able to work longer hours during term time & shorter days during school holidays. Work life balance is very important & to try to ensure everyone leaves on time they finish routine appointments 45 minutes before the practice closes every day. They are closed from midday on Saturday, closed all day on Sunday & have NO OOH rota.

The team have established a lovely, loyal client-base and enjoy an interesting and varied caseload. You’ll be working in a bright, spacious, air-conditioned surgery, which is purpose built to industry leading standards with state of the art equipment.

The ideal vet for this role will have good surgical and medical skills, and be capable of working sole charge at times. You will be passionate about providing an excellent service and working as part of a highly-skilled team. You will also have the ability to work up cases to a high standard. If you prefer a mainly consulting role this can be accommodated & if you love surgery & orthopaedics we are well equipped with orthopaedic kit to enable a range of routine & emergency procedures including cruciate repairs, patella surgeries & fracture repairs although they know this is not everyone's idea of a fun day at work!
