Job Details: Our client is looking for a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join the team. This role is varied and includes routine appointments/ vaccinations, consults, patient care and theatre work. They try to accommodate should you have either a surgical or medical bias, and they also treat exotic pets, and horses. This position is suitable for an enthusiastic and passionate Veterinary Surgeon looking to expand their knowledge and thrive in a supportive environment, it is a very exciting time to join the team!

They are a well-established long-standing small animal and equine veterinary practice based in the city of Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. They have historically served Peterborough and the surrounding areas for a long time and are well-known to their beloved community. They are an enthusiastic, friendly and supportive team of vets, nurses and receptionists dedicated to providing excellent veterinary care. A key focus for the practice and the whole team is preventative care, and they are continuously sharing ideas and knowledge. They offer a large and varied caseload as a small animal first opinion practice, and a supportive team to progress your personal development with.
The team provides a large variety of services for their loyal clients, including exotics, breeding, geriatric care, travel passports, laboratory diagnostics, ultrasound, x-rays, orthopaedics and much more. The out-of-hours provider is Vets Now. They work closely with local referral services for those occasions when the situation demands even more specialist care. They value their team and their ability to work together, and appreciate staff taking part in case discussion and contributing ideas to improve their practice.
They are looking for a new graduate or a more experienced colleague to join their supportive and friendly team. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent communication skills, be a motivated and friendly team player with an ability to engage well with their clients. You must be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon, and your time-management skills should be excellent. New graduate applicants should be enthusiastic and willing to learn new skills as well as be keen to add to their team with their own individual strengths and skill sets. They are looking for someone who has a desire to practice good medicine and shows empathy towards their clients and their pets.
