Salary: €50,000 - €70,000 +, depending on experience
Package: Continuing education supported and encouraged, Annual salary rises plus, with reasonable commitment to the business, certificate training will be fully supported
Type of Work: Small Animal Vet Surgeon
Job Details: Permanent Small Animal Vet Surgeon required, ideally with a couple of years experience, preferably with an interest in surgery. Independent practice with 4 vets planning expansion to 5, with plans in place to upgrade premises with 2 new operating suites with a lift. Work involves some small first opinion element but with a strong surgical and medical caseload. This option would suit someone with a strong surgical interest particularly in orthopaedics but the practice also has the capacity to support a good general small animal practitioner should that be your preference. The rota does include some on call which is well remunerated, although there is a large focus on flexible working times. The rota involves:
- 1 night a week on call
- 1 Saturday in 8 up to lunch time
- 1 weekend in 8 on call (Shared with another practice and you will have one half day a week)
Types of equipment available: ortho, diagnostics, digital x-ray, Idexx machines, ultrasound and dental machine.
About You: Ideally you should have 2 years experience with basic first opinion routine knowledge. This opportunity would suit a vet who is now either looking to progress further or looking for a practice to support their developed skill set with an actual high standard caseload. A strong work ethic will be expected and a great team to progress the business is in support.
