Salary: $100,000 + depending on experience

Type of Work: Small Animal Vet Surgeon 

Job Details: This practice is seeking a full-time Veterinarian to join their amazing team! Their hospital is a 4-doctor practice conveniently located a short 15min drive South East to Mississauga and 28mins drive East to Toronto.

Their entire team is passionate about what they do and they have collectively dedicated their lives to the health and well-being of pets. All their appointments are a minimum of 30 minutes, allowing them to focus on a high level of communication and education with their clients. They have 4 RVTs as well as dedicated animal care attendants, and with their support, veterinarians are able to focus on medicine and surgery. All surgeries have a dedicated technician to monitor anesthesia, as well as all the monitoring equipment bells and whistles. They have a new, state of the art, ultrasound machine, digital x-ray and digital dental x-ray, therapeutic laser, and an ICU area.

Their clients are loyal and motivated to provide their pets with excellent veterinary care. Their ideal candidate will be as enthusiastic as them about building relationships and providing quality care, while also possessing strong surgical skills. They also believe in having a life away from veterinary medicine – their schedules are flexible, their Saturdays are short and shared amongst the vets – there is no on call, no Sunday hours, and no boarding.

There are various things to do in Mississauga/ Toronto such as, Square one shopping centre, Port Credit, Wet'n'wild water park, Ripley's Aquarium of Canada, Toronto Island Park, CN Tower, St. Lawrence Market, Royal Ontario Museum and Hockey Hall

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Provincial DVM licensing, or eligibility to be licensed
  • Passion for what you do every day
  • Enthusiasm, energy and a positive attitude are a must
  • A strong desire to educate and build solid relationships with clients
  • Excellent communication skills
