Type of Work: Senior Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon, Full or Part Time, Permanent

Job Details: We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Vet to join this team in a well established, multi-vet clinic. They have an experienced team with an incredible caring and positive culture, who enjoy fast paced small animal practice. There are currently 1 x full time and 2 x part time vets, (1 more senior vet required – role we are recruiting for). It is a busy GP practice, the majority of cases are worked up in clinic but there are referral options within this group or specialists if that is what you decide is best for the patient. There is some weekend work but no more than 1 in 4.  This clinic has no after hours or public holiday requirements.

  • Opportunity for you to grow and develop in your Veterinary career with generous CPD allowance, including a wellbeing budget to be used at your discretion to ensure you are in the best of health.
  • Flexibility for this to be either a full-time or part-time role depending on what works for you.
  • Location The clinic sits in the sunny Kapiti coast which offers a unique living experience close to the beaches and mountains, but close enough to Wellington for the city life.

About you:

Naturally, you’ll be passionate about doing the best for your patients, and skilled in Small Animal care. We are looking for an experienced vet helping to lead this clinic into the future. Your enthusiasm and passion for your patients and clients is important to us, and you must enjoy working as part of a team.

You’ll also have:

  • A recognised Bachelor of Veterinary Science or equivalent qualification
  • Proficiency in all-round companion animal practice
  • Ideally you will have a certificate or membership, or be working towards achieving them (they can help with this!)

Why join this team?

A generous salary reflective of your experience is just the tip of the iceberg. They put their people first, you won’t find any corporate KPIs or targets here. This Vet-led business values your knowledge and trust that you know the best way to care for your patients, they won’t tell you how to do your job. You will have freedom to prescribe and treat as you know best without agreements limiting how you look after your patients. This clinic is well-equipped, and if you have an equipment wish list, they will make it happen.
