Job Details: Our client is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to come and join AN experienced team at Wakefield Vets4Pets. They are conveniently located close to motorway networks, including the M1 and M62 and the on the rail line between Leeds and London. The practice is purpose-built to industry leading standards and is well equipped to do most things. There is a digital x-ray machine, a digital dental x-ray machine, an ultrasound machine (about to be upgraded this year!) lots of orthopaedic equipment, a wide variety of surgical instrument, multiparameter monitoring including CO2, cautery, endo-surgery equipment and fixed and flexible endoscopes.

You will be working as part of a friendly and supportive clinical team of 3 Vets and 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses. The nursing team is especially well experienced and knowledgeable and provides an excellent level of service and support.The team have always promoted self-study and development of colleagues  and the completion of the longer modular courses is encouraged. One of the nursing team has completed the ISFM certificate in Feline Nursing and another has just started the new Surgery modular course. If Partnership is your long-term goal, there is also an excellent opportunity for the right candidate with regards to becoming a JVP over the next few years.

They are a friendly practice and although they work hard, they get on very well as a team. They also have a lovely bunch of clients. The ideal colleague will be a dynamic and proactive Veterinary Surgeon with a surgical or medical bias. You will have calm composed thinking and the ability to lead the clinical team where needed. Key to your success will be your ability to embrace all aspects of the role, delivering excellent patient and client care. You will be a strong team player and enjoy the variety the role will bring.


  • A full time role
  • 40 hours per week,
  • Includes weekends on a rota basis,
  • No OOHs.
