Job Details: 

Small Animal Veterinarian for a Hospital set in the East Kootenays of beautiful BC. Our Companion Animal Practice has a longstanding tradition of providing exceptional care, and our established team of 2 Vets, 2 RVTs, and an incredible support staff roster will welcome you with open arms. Based in the largest urban center in the East Kootenays, and with quick access to world-renowned hiking, skiing, fishing, snowshoeing, kayaking, mountain biking, and river rafting. Enjoy all the amenities, a vibrant cultural scene, and unparalleled opportunity to explore the wild beauty of the surrounding mountains. You will be scheduled for 4 or 5 days on a rotating Monday – Friday schedule, and there is no emergency On Call. This is the perfect location for an adventurous professional interested in a beautiful balance of work and play.

Our fully-equipped hospital features an in-house laboratory, digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, a class 4 laser, ultrasound, and a computerized records systems (Avimark). Experienced DVMs will enjoy our welcoming and inclusive environment. We appreciate new perspectives and pride ourselves on collaboration and teamwork.



  • A valid DVM from an accredited university
  • A valid NAVLE Qualification
  • Passion for what you do every day
  • Enthusiasm, energy and a positive attitude
  • A strong desire to educate and build solid relationships with clients
  • Solid communication skills, both when dealing with clients and interpersonal relationships
