Type of Work: Registered Veterinary Nurse

Job Details: As a Registered Veterinary Nurse you will be part of a multi-group practice which includes a 24-hour branch caring for inpatients overnight and taking emergencies 24/7 from our clients branches, as well as from other veterinary practices in the area. You will work closely with the team across all five branches providing a high level of patient and client care, supporting veterinary surgeons, trainee nurses and support team to provide an all-round quality service. This is a full-time role with varying shift patterns, working 1 in 6 weekends with no OOH, however part-time will also be considered. 

Recently refurbished, the clinic is equipped with the full range of diagnostic laboratory equipment, digital x-ray, Doppler ultrasound, endoscopy and excellent facilities. 

Our clients fantastic, supportive team has a diverse range of Vets, RVNs, SVNs and a Support team, some of which have been with us for 10/20+ years, as well as a range of new recruits. The practice has been established for around 50 years, they have five branches, one of them running a 24-hour emergency service, and they also have three training practices and support further education. They have a strong focus on client education and preventative health care.

East Sussex is an area steeped in history, with beautiful countryside, stunning coastlines and an abundance of choice within the art, sports and leisure scenes. This practice also have the convenience of great links to Brighton, London and Gatwick.

Skills and Requirements: The successful applicant will be a RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse. The ideal person will ideally have experience working in similar environment. However, the role is suitable for anyone looking to develop their nursing skills and looking for a new challenge, including newly qualified nurses. Full training will be given in all areas. Having excellent communication skills, the ability to work well within a team and a strong work ethic is essential.
