Job Details: Our client has a fantastic opportunity to welcome a passionate Veterinary Surgeon to join their great team!

• Just 4 day’s per week

• No OOH’s or On Call

• Weekends are shared on a 1 in 5 rota

• Excellent facilities

This clinic believe in complete clinical freedom. This large new 12,000 sq foot building houses lots of fantastic equipment including dental x-ray, endoscope and more. (They’re keen to keep progressing and bettering themselves so are currently working on Tier 2 approval - hospital status will come later). They are also a Vet Nurse training centre.

The caseload is very varied and you will often see a good mixture of routine but also more advanced cases. The practice are exclusively first-opinion small animal, although they do have visiting specialists. They are big on case continuity and where possible, they are always keen to encourage their vets to reach their full potential, but never hesitate to refer cases or call in an expert, if it is in the best interests of the animal. The team are wonderful, welcoming and never short of laughs. They all work really well together and often discuss clinical cases. The team all have their own interests and this is something they are keen to encourage and nurture! So they are keen to hear about any interests/certificate goals that you may have! 

Thornton-Cleveleys is a lovely town which is just a 60 minute drive from the beautiful Lake District! Or, if you prefer more hustle and bustle the practice is within commuting distance to many cities such as Preston, Manchester, and more. Maybe it’s the sea air you enjoy and spending time at the beach? Blackpool is a very popular seaside town which attract lots of tourists each year. Blackpool boasting fantastic fish and chips, beautiful promenades, a theme park and even an airport!

The ideal candidate will have some good first opinion experience and have high standards of care. The clinic can support interests and progression. The opportunity exists to mentor the junior staff members, with the possibility of a management/Clinical Director role in the future, should you wish.
